Omaha Police have arrested the man accused of causing a deadly crash at 32nd and Q Street on Wednesday morning.
Around 11:00 a.m. Thursday members of the Omaha Police Accident Investigation Squad, Metro Area Fugitive Task Force and DHS ICE Agents served a search warrant at a house just south of 32nd and Q Street.
While serving the warrant, information was obtained leading the investigation to 5404 South 28th Street where Luis Velasquez-Ortiz was located. He was transported to Omaha Police Headquarters and booked a short time later on his felony arrest warrant for Leaving the Scene of an Accident Involving Serious Bodily Injury / Death.
Police say Velasquez-Ortiz left the scene after colliding with a motorcycle around 6:40 Wednesday morning. The crash killed 31 year old Juan Moreno-Tamayo.
