Momentum Continues On Council Bluffs Side Of River

Momentum continues to build on the Council Bluffs side of the Missouri River.  On Thursday City officials celebrated the progress being made on a new four story office building.  Construction crews placed the final steel beam for the building, which will be home to the Iowa West Foundation and several other future businesses.

President and CEO Pete Tulipana says the new development will appeal to people of all ages. "We have this wonderful recreation opportunity in the park and we have places to live, places to hopefully eat and places to work."

Construction on the 67,000-square-foot office building is expected to be completed by the end of this year. Tulipana says Iowa West hopes to move into the facility in early 2019.  Over the next several years the project will include about 225 apartments and 30 town homes, a 700 plus space parking garage and a pair of 15 story condo towers.
