The Nebraska Humane Society has gone to the dogs - literally. The dog kennels are getting crowded. They have 54 dogs up for adoption and many have been there for quite some time. There are new dogs coming in every day so they are offering half priced adoptions on all dogs one year and up on Friday, April 6th. This is to give them some breathing room before the busy summer season starts.
Adoption hours will start two hours early with doors opening at 10 a.m. All applications must be in by 6 p.m.
Licensing fees will apply but all the dogs have been spayed or neutered, microchipped and have their initial vaccinations.
They also ask that renters bring in their policies to help speed up the process.
