The Creighton University community is remembering the life and times of a longtime Jesuit faculty member and noted theologian.
Fr. Richard Hauser S.J. passed away earlier this week at the age of 80. The priest was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year.
Fr. Hauser came to the Hilltop Campus in the early '70's, and became well known for starting a Sunday evening Mass at St. John's Church on the Creighton campus for which he was the principal celebrant.
Like so many others in the Jesuit order who served in Omaha, Fr. Hauser was a native of Milwaukee.
