Children Placed In Protective Care After Parents Arrested For Drugs

Two children are in protective custody after a Lancaster County couple was caught with drugs and weapons in their home.

Officials with the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office say just for 2:00 Monday afternoon, deputies were called to a home in a rural part of the county for a domestic disturbance. When deputies arrived, they determined that 23 year old Blake Walker and 28 year old Kassandra Page had been arguing in front of their seven month old daughter and Page's five year old son.

Deputies then found there was marijuana, a loaded AR-15 rifle and five shotguns inside the home and within reach of the children. Deputies obtained a search warrant for the home and seized twenty grams of marijuana and a small marijuana growing set up.

Both children were removed from the home, taken into temporary emergency protective custody and placed with relatives.

Walker was lodged in jail for felony Manufacture of a Controlled substance, misdemeanor Child Neglect and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Page was cited for misdemeanor Child Neglect.
