Man Critically Injured In South Omaha Crash

Police Lights and Sirens Law Enforcements

Omaha Police say the icy roads Tuesday morning caused a crash that critically injured a man after his legs were pinned between two cars.

Investigators say around 6:30 a Hyundai Sante Fe had stopped due to the lane being blocked and was rear ended by a 2008 Toyota Camry. Both drivers got out of their vehicles to inspect the damage.

The Camry was then struck from behind by a 1994 Ford van. The force of the collision pushed the Camry forward and pinned the legs of the 64 year old Michael Beck between the Santa Fe and Camry.

Beck suffered critical injuries to both legs and underwent surgery.  The other two drivers were not injured.
