New Omaha Church Celebrates First Easter With Family Friendly Celebration

A six month old Omaha church is planning on celebrating their first Easter in grand fashion.

My City Church will be hosting a free carnival and Easter egg hunt on Sunday. Pastor Jesse Norman says they are making sure anyone who wants to hear their message of love will have the chance. "Why are we doing five worship services and a carnival on Easter? It's really simple, we want to be accessible for everyone in Omaha to hear the message that the cross equals love. This Easter we want our city to discover the true meaning of the cross and how it can change their everyday life."

In between those five services will be a massive carnival and Easter egg hunt, complete with 10,000 eggs. The carnival will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and will come complete with the Easter bunny, real life bunnies, games, food and prizes.

Services will be held at 9:00 AM, 10:30 AM, 12:00 PM, 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM. My City Church is located at the Thompson Alumni Center on the campus of the University of Nebraska at Omaha (6705 Dodge).
