Bob Kerry Bridge To Be Lit Up For Autism Awareness

Monday night the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge will be lit up in brilliant blue for World Autism Awareness Day.

The Munroe-Meyer Institute for Genetics and Rehabilitation at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Autism Action Partnership are teaming up in the cross-state event to help raise autism awareness.

Participants will wear blue and gather on either the Nebraska or Iowa side of the bridge at 7:00 PM. At 7:19 PM the groups will meet in the middle of the bridge as it is lit up blue to mark the kickoff of Autism Speaks’ World Autism Month.

The bridge will be joining a number of regional, national and international landmarks – including the Nebraska State Capitol – which will be lit blue to mark the day and raise awareness of autism.
