As Omaha prepares to host the NCAA Tournament Midwest Regional this weekend, about a dozen workers spent several hours on Monday installing the floor that Duke, Kansas, Clemson and Syracuse will play on this weekend.
There are over 250 floor panels and each weigh nearly 200 pounds. The wood used to make the floor was harvested and manufactured in Michigan. The crew from Connor Sports is installing the floors at all four Sweet 16 sites this weekend.
On Friday top seeded Kansas will play Clemson at 6:00 p.m. Duke will face Syracuse at 8:30. The winner in Omaha will advance to the Final Four in San Antonio.
