Man Threatens Lincoln Uber Driver With Knife

A Lincoln man is behind bars after allegedly assaulting an Uber driver over the weekend.

Lincoln Police say around 1:00 Sunday morning an Uber driver flagged down an officer near 40th and Pine Lake Road to report he was being chased. The driver said he was driving a man and a woman to the neighborhood when the man accused the driver of flirting with his wife. The passenger, 36 year old Steven Kostner, reportedly became enraged, wrapped the driver's seat belt around his neck and held a pocketknife to his throat.

The Uber driver was able to fight Kostner off and ran from the vehicle before waiving down a nearby officer. Kostner was arrested on Terroristic Threat charges.
