An early morning South Omaha house fire is being blamed on a wood burning stove.
Fire crews were dispatched to the home near 28th and Washington around 4:30 Monday morning. One person was able to escape the fire before crews arrived.
Firefighters were quickly able to put the fire out, but not before it caused over $30,000 in damage to the home. Investigators determined the was started due to ashes from a wood burning stove.
