A stabbing late Saturday night in northwest Omaha has left a man dead and a woman behind bars. The Douglas County Sheriff's Department is investigating the case as a homicide.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Department says investigators were called to the scene of a reported assault and stabbing near 169th and Grand Avenue around 9:00 p.m.
Deputies arrived and took 30 year old Crystal Gross into custody. Life-saving measures were begun on 35 year old Amir Bey. Paramedics rushed Bey to the hospital where he later died of his injuries.
Gross was booked for Criminal Homicide and Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony. Authorities say Bey and Gross had been dating and that both are from the Houston, Texas area.
