Sarpy County authorities have identified the man killed in a two vehicle crash near 186th and Highway 370 Thursday morning.
on Highway 370 near Gretna Thursday morning as Scott Hansen, 42, of Omaha.
Emergency crews got the call to the scene near 186th Street at 7:52 a.m.
The Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office says 42 year old Scott Hansen of Omaha was southbound on 186th St. in a Buick and was attempting to turn left and to go east on Hwy 370.
As he entered the intersection, his car was struck by a westbound Chevrolet pickup, driven by 45 year old Daniel Huffman of Gretna. Hansen was transported to the hospital and later died. Huffman suffered minor injuries and was treated and released.
Hwy 370 was shut down between 192nd St. and 180th St. in both directions until 11:15 a.m. while the accident was investigated.
