Police Seek Assistance In Finding Missing Teen

The Omaha Police Special Victims Unit is asking for the public's help in locating a missing vulnerable teenager.

14-year-old Charlotte Dixson's family reported her missing Monday evening. She was last seen wearing shorts and carrying a bag of clothes in the area near 28th and Monroe.

The family said in a Facebook post that Charlotte, who also goes by Heather, is low functioning and would be highly susceptible to dangerous strangers.

Investigators have been actively searching for Charlotte but are now exhausting all leads. OPD has no specific information that Charlotte is in danger, however, they are concerned due to her age and social skills.

The family also said that Charlotte does not have any friends or family that she would be able to stay with.   Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact the Child Victim / Sexual Assault Unit at 402-444- 5636 or Crime Stoppers at 444-STOP (7867).
