Sarpy County officials say a 25 year old Plattsmouth man was seriously injured when he was thrown from his motorcycle in a crash Saturday afternoon.
It happened shortly before 5 p.m. at 57th and Platteview Road. Investigators say a westbound car had slowed to turn south on 57th Street. Three vehicles behind that car were also beginning to slow down.
Investigators say Alexander Tellinghuisen tried to pass all of those vehicles on his motorcycle. The bike hit the front fender of the first vehicle and he was thrown from the motorcycle. Tellinghuisen was thrown from the motorcycle and taken to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
The driver of the vehicle that was struck was not injured. The accident remains under investigation.
