Arrest Made Nearly One Year After Shooting Death

Nearly a year after his murder in a North Omaha parking lot, Omaha Police have made an arrest in the shooting death of Laron Rogers. 

Omaha Police say 29 year old Forrest Cox was arrested on Thursday on charges of First Degree Murder, Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony and Possession of a Gun by a Prohibited Person. 

Authorities say Cox is responsible for the shooting death of 25 year old Laron Rogers. Rogers was found lying in the parking lot of the Ames Avenue Convenience Store at 42nd Street and Ames Avenue on March 6, 2017. Rogers was taken to Creighton University Medical Center where he later died on March 22, 2017.
