Student Accused Of Making School Threat Missing

Council Bluffs police say a student accused of threatening to bring a weapon to Lewis Central High School has been reported missing by his family.

The student is identified as 16‐year‐old Giovanni D. Raymundo. Investigators said the alleged threat was overheard Monday by a staff member who immediately reported the incident to school administration. Lewis Central administrators contacted police.

Officials said Raymundo left school property against the wishes of Lewis Central staff, after making the threats, but prior to the arrival of police personnel or family members.

Police officers were at Raymundo’s home Monday night. Detectives did not locate any evidence that would lead them to believe that Raymundo had the means to carry out his threats, but the case remains under investigation.

Police say Raymundo is being charged with Threats of Terrorism, a class D felony. Juvenile Court Services will set a date for his initial hearing. If he is not located by that date and fails to appear, a “Juvenile Pick‐up Order” may be issued, which is similar to an arrest warrant that is issued for adults.

Police ask that anyone who has seen or knows the location of Giovanni Raymundo call 911.  He is a white male, 5’6”, 206 pounds, brown hair and brown eyes.
