Police Identify Teen Victims In Weekend Shooting

Omaha Police have identified two teens shot over the weekend that killed one and injured the other. 

Authorities say seventeen year old Zachary Parker and seventeen year old Devon Darnell were found around 5:00 Sunday evening near Blackburn High School at 26th and Hamilton. Parker was transported to the hospital with CPR in progress and later died at the hospital. Darnell was treated and released. 

Investigators believe the shooting took place near 25th and Crown Point and the victims drove to the school where they received medical assistance. 

Anyone with information is urged to contact the OPD Homicide Unit at 444-5656 or Crime Stoppers at 444-STOP. Tips leading to the arrest of a homicide suspect are eligible for an enhanced reward of up to $25,000.
