Omaha Shooting Leaves One Dead, One Injured

A shooting late Sunday afternoon killed one person and wounded another.   Omaha Police were called to 26th and Hamilton around 5:00 p.m. and found both victims near Blackburn High School.

One victim was transported to the hospital with CPR in progress and later later died at the hospital. Another person suffered non-life threatening injuries. 

Investigators believe the shooting took place near 25th and Crown Point and the victims drove to the school where they received medical assistance.  Police are still sorting out the details.  Anyone with information is urged to contact the OPD Homicide Unit at 444-5656 or Crime Stoppers at 444-STOP. Tips leading to the arrest of a homicide suspect are eligible for an enhanced reward of up to $25,000.
