Boys That Threatened Plattsmouth School In Court

The 14 and 15 year old boys accused of planning to "shoot up" Plattsmouth High School were in juvenile court today in Sarpy County.  Their actions prompted the district to cancel school on Wednesday.

A judge ordered the teens receive mental evaluations and must wear trackers.  They will be allowed to return home with their parents.  They are charged with making terroristic threats.  The alleged motive behind threats was a bad break-up with a girl.

Investigators say they planned to use a gun belonging to one of the boy's father.  That gun was secured in a safe and the boys did not have access to it.

The attorneys for the boys say it was not a serious threat.  Both will be arraigned next month.
