Teen Arrested In Connection To Millard South Threat

A teenager has been arrested in connection to a threat made towards Millard South High School on Tuesday. Omaha Police say a seventeen year old boy was arrested on two counts of Terroristic Threats.

Officers were sent to Millard South High School around dismissal time Tuesday afternoon after a reported threat.  Police say the threat was unsubstantiated, but in an abundance of caution, they sent officers to the school for extra security.

Millard spokesperson Rebecca Kleeman told NewsRadio 1110 KFAB a parent of two students called 911 shortly before dismissal on Tuesday saying they had received a text message threatening an after school fight.  Kleeman says the threat was made by someone who is not a student in the district.

In 2011, Millard South High School was the scene of its own deadly shooting. Assistant principal Dr. Vicki Kaspar was killed and Principal Dr. Curtis Case was seriously injured by gunfire at the hands of a 17-year-old student, who later killed himself.
