Icy, slick roads could cause morning commuters some big problems Monday.
Temperatures will continue to fall below freezing Monday morning while rain showers transition into freezing drizzle. Light ice accumulations will be possible, which will cause travel to be difficult. It will not take much to cause slippery conditions on higher elevations, side streets and sidewalks. Clearing conditions will move in around noon
Temperatures will be stuck in the upper 20's with winds gusting at about 30 MPH. Around 9:00 Monday night another round of freezing rain will settle over the metro. This time it will linger into Tuesday morning with a few snowflakes mixed in as well.
