Pottawattamie County authorities say a sanitation truck driver has died following a crash Thursday afternoon on Mynster Springs Road, west of Old Lincoln Highway.
Investigators say around 1:10 p.m. a 2007 Sterling sanitation vehicle, owned by S & L Sanitation Enterprises, was westbound on Mynster Springs Road from Old Lincoln Highway. As the driver was trying to round a curve to the left, the truck over turned and the driver was ejected.
38 year old Jeremy Daniels of Council Bluffs was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The sheriff's department says Daniels later died from those injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
