A 79-year-old Atlantic, Iowa man is dead after his pickup crashed into a Treynor house Tuesday morning.
Pottawattamie County officials say Francis Symonds was found dead inside the pickup after the 8:00 crash. Investigators have not yet determined if the accident caused his death.
The investigation shows Symonds was driving a white 2012 Chevy Silverado northbound on 300th Street. He left the roadway, traveled through three yards before striking the house. The homeowner was in the home at the time of the accident but was not injured.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
