Investigators are working to determine what lead to a house fire Sunday afternoon that sent one person to the hospital.
The fire broke out around 3:00 at a house near 40th and Gold. One person was home at the time, but fire officials say the woman escaped before crews arrived on scene. The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.
It was determined that the fire started in the kitchen, but the investigation in to what sparked the blaze continues.
