One person is dead after a crash late Sunday night on Highway 75 at L Street.
Omaha Police say around 12:30 officers were called to southbound Highway 75 for a crash involving a Chevy Trailblazer and a Chevy Aveo. During the investigation, officers determined the Aveo, driven by 27 year old William Villagran of Fremont, was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes when it hit the Trailblazer.
Villagran was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the incident and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Trailblazer, 47 year old Lonny Jameson, was taken to Nebraska Medicine for treatment of minor injuries.
Alcohol use by Villagran is considered a factor in this crash.
