Police believe a wrong-way driver caused this morning's deadly accident on Highway 75 near the L Street exit. It happened just after 12:30 a.m. The investigation shows a 2007 Chevy Trailblazer was heading southbound on Highway 75 when he was hit by a 2005 Chevy Aveo that was heading northbound in the southbound lanes.
The driver of the Aveo has been identified as 27 year old William Villagran of Fremont, Nebraska. He was declared dead at the scene. Police say he was not wearing a seat belt. Alcohol use is under investigation as one factor of this accident.
The driver of the Trailblazer is identified as 47 year old Lonny Jameson of Bellevue. He was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
