Four Arrested After Pursuit With Lancaster Deputies

Four people are behind bars on a number of charges after a pursuit with Lancaster County Sheriff's Deputies.

Authorities say around midnight on January 11th a deputy tried to stop a car for speeding near Highway 77 and Bluff Road. They say the driver fled from the deputy, and only a partial license plate number was obtained. After a short pursuit, the chase was ended in the interest of public safety.

In the following weeks, investigators found the car involved in the chase. Inside the vehicle they found a handgun case and ammunition that had been stolen during a home burglary in Saunders County the night of the pursuit. A handgun also taken during the Saunders County burglary was eventually recovered as well.

The investigation led to the identification of four individuals from Lincoln who were involved in a number of crimes in both Lancaster and Saunders counties. The following arrests were made as a result of the investigation:

  • 42 year old Lorenzo Nunn was arrested for: Possession of a Firearm by Prohibited Person, Possession of a Stolen Firearm and Theft by Receiving Stolen Property.
  • 22 year old Bobby Motton III was arrested for: Possession of a Firearm by Prohibited Person, Possession of a Stolen Firearm and Theft by Receiving Stolen Property.

  • 29 year old Samantha Zavodny brought in on charges of: Possession of a Firearm by Prohibited Person and Possession of a Stolen Firearm.

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office is working with the Cedar Bluffs Police Department and Saunders County Attorney’s Office regarding potential charges in their jurisdiction.
