There was a terrifying moment for an employee at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs. Police were called to the hospital just before 8 p.m. on Friday for a disturbance involving a man with a knife.
The victim told police she was leaving work and stopped at the ladies restroom. Inside was a man holding a knife. She was able to knock the knife out of his hand and ran to the emergency room for help and to call the police.
The victim and the suspect, identified as 55 year old Carl Ruben Davis Jr. of Council Bluffs, was taken to police headquarters for questioning.
Davis was booked into Pottawattamie County Corrections for kidnapping, going armed with intent, carrying weapons and three counts of assault.
