A Council Bluffs man is recovering from injuries he sustained in a vicious attack Tuesday afternoon.
Council Bluffs Police say just before 4:30 emergency crews were called to the area of 1st Ave. and 7th Street for a report of an unresponsive man in an apartment. Crews located 26 year old Keith Wise, who was suffering from a severe injury to his eye and head.
Wise was taken to Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs where staff confirmed that he had severe trauma to his eye and head and would need emergency surgery. Wise was then transported to Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha.
Investigators say the assault happened inside the apartment, but no suspects have been arrested at this time. Wise is in critical condition at this time.
