Robbery Suspect Leaves Omaha Business Empty Handed

Omaha Police a gunman's attempt to hold-up a business Saturday morning was unsuccessful.  Just after 9:00 a.m. officers responded to a call of a panic alarm at the Payday Express, just south of 39th and Dodge.

An employee told police a man walked into the store armed with a handgun and demanded cash. The employee told the suspect that the safe wasn’t open yet and the would-be robber left empty handed.

He was last seen running north on 39th Street.  The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact Omaha Crime Stoppers at 444-STOP.
