Omaha Police say one man was injured after a Wednesday morning crash that backed Interstate 80 traffic up for miles.
Authorities say just after 8:00 officers responded to eastbound I-80 near 84th street for a three car crash. They say a Ford Taurus, driven by 35 year Willie Dove, was slowing down and nearly stopped due to heavy traffic when he was rear-ended by an F-350 pickup truck driven by nineteen year old Tyler Kudlacek. The truck was then in turn rear-ended by a Mazda driven by 23 year old Jordan Ratterree.
Dove was transported to Bergan Mercy for treatment of a back injury that is not considered life-threatening.
Kudlacek and Ratterree were both cited for Following Too Close. The crash shut down the two inside lanes of I-80 for about an hour and backed up traffic to the Giles Road exit.
