Omaha fire investigators say a malfunctioning golf cart is being blamed for a fire at a townhouse near 109th and Manderson Plaza early Tuesday morning
Smoke was coming from the two story home around 12:45. The townhouse was used as a model, so no one was in it at the time. Fire crews found the fire in the garage area and it was quickly put out. No injuries were reported.
Investigators say the cause of the fire is accidental due to an electrical malfunction in the golf cart. Damage is estimated at $5,000.
