State Patrol Colonel John Bolduc says troopers have been assisting stranded motorists across the state. I-80 remains generally open across Nebraska, although there have been intermittent closures because of accidents according to Bolduc.
While snow totals are expected to be lighter in the metro In the Omaha area, school districts have canceled classes. Creighton University canceled for the day, and the University of Nebraska at Omaha was closing at 2 p.m.
