Death Row Inmate Notified Of Lethal Injection Drugs

A second death row inmate has been informed about the steps that are required in advance of an execution. They have provided Carey Dean Moore notice of the substances to be used in his execution by lethal injection.

The substances to be administered are Diazepam,  Fentanyl Citrate,  Cisatracurium Besylate and Potassium Chloride.

Moore was sentenced to death for killing cab drivers Maynard Helgeland and Reuel Eugene Van Ness in 1979.

No execution date has been set. This notice is required to be given at least 60 days prior to the Attorney General's request for an execution warrant from the State Supreme Court.

On November 9, 2017, Director Scott Frakes provided the same notice to Jose Sandoval. The Attorney General determines when and for whom a warrant will be requested.
