Thousands of people will flock to the CenturyLink Center in Downtown Omaha this weekend to see some of the most impressive cars in the world.
The Midlands International Auto Show is bringing hundreds of sporty, sleek and classic cars, trucks, SUV's and motorcycles to downtown Omaha. Auto show spokesperson Tam Webb says there will be a number of brand new 2018 models, and even one that hasn't been seen yet. "We've got the new Kia Stinger, which is brand new. No one has seen that yet and that's getting really, really good reviews."
Webb says in addition to brand new dealer cars, there will also be an impressive collection of private owner displays. "Every year I work to meet different owners, and you know, invite them to bring their cars and boy we've got some stunners this year. A brand new McLaren, and a Lamborghini, a Ferrari. So we've got some really fun stuff."
Some other fun cars on display will include the 2018 Motor Trend Car of the Year, the Alfa Romero Guilia, and a 1980's icon, the Delorean.
The auto show, Webb says, isn't just for the big kids though. "We've got the plasma cars that kids can ride around the track and they really like that a lot, and Kia is bringing two of their hamsters." Big and small kids alike will be able to have their picture taken with the human-sized hamsters during different sessions each day.
The Midlands International Auto Show runs from Thursday, January 18th thru Sunday, January 21st. Tickets are $9 for adults, $7 for kids 7-12, $7 for seniors and anyone with a military ID. Children six and under are free. For more details visit the auto show's website here.
