Suspect In String Of Armed Robberies Arrested

Police have arrested a man who is believed to be involved in three armed robberies over the last few days. 

Authorities say 29 year old Justin McCoy was arrested early Monday morning after sticking up a Bucky's Gas Station at 120th and Pacific. 

McCoy allegedly robbed the Scooter's Coffee on Highway 370 and 90th Street around 5:30 Saturday night. Surveillance footage showed a man get out of a red Mercury Sable, walk up to the drive-thru window with a hand gun and demand money. Authorities say McCoy got away with over $500 from the cash register before fleeing the scene. 

Just before 4:00 on Sunday afternoon, police were dispatched to the Valentino's on 51st and Leavenworth for a report of a robbery. Witnesses in that case say the the getaway car was a red Mercury Sable, just like the one used in the Scooter's robbery.  

After the Bucky's robbery late Sunday night, officers caught up to McCoy near 84th and Grover and arrested the alleged armed robber. McCoy was booked into Douglas County Jail on two charges Use of a Gun to Commit a Felony, one charge of Possession of a Gun by a Prohibited Person and one charge of Theft by Receiving.

Witness stated after the first robbery that a woman was behind the wheel of the getaway car, but police are still looking for any accomplices.
