An Omaha man has died after he was injured in a hit and run crash Wednesday morning near 21st and Cuming Streets.
Police say 47-year-old Julian Flores was crossing Cuming Street from north to south around 7 a.m. when he was hit by an eastbound 2014 Dodge Dart Flores suffered a critical head injury and later died at the hospital.
The driver of the Dodge Dart, 24-year-old Justin Peters, fled the scene and was arrested about 30 minutes later.
Investigators say Peters showed signs of impairment and was eventually booked for leaving the scene of a personal injury accident and DUI - serious bodily injury.
