Omaha Police have arrested the driver for a hit and run that left a man with critical head injuries Wednesday morning near 21st and Cuming.
Investigators say 24 year old Justin Peters was eastbound on Cuming around 7:00 in a Dodge Dart when he hit 47 year old Julian Flores as he was crossing Cuming Street.
Police say Peters left the scene but officers tracked him down about 30 minutes later. They say he showed several signs of impairment. Peters was booked for Leaving the Scene of a Personal Injury Accident and DUI - Serious Bodily Injury.
Flores was taken to the hospital for treatment of a critical head injury.
