A popular restaurant that started in Omaha before moving to Council Bluffs is closing it's doors for good later this month.
On it's Facebook page Dixie Quicks owner Rob Gilmer said that it will close on Sunday, January 21st. The message reads:
"Dixie Quicks has had a wonderful 21 years in the restaurant landscape of the Council Bluffs/Omaha area. Thank you to all our incredible customers. We will be closing on Sunday 1/21/18. 2 weeks left to enjoy our food and service. Thank you to all the staff for keeping Rene's vision alive. I love you all and thank you, Mucho Mucho. Rene approves."
The restaurant was well know for being visited by national political candidates. It had two Omaha locations before moving to Council Bluffs several years ago.
