Championship Husker Headed To College Football Hall Of Fame

A former Husker is on his way to the College Football Hall of Fame. 

It was announced on Monday that Outland Trophy winner Aaron Taylor has been chosen as a member of the 2018 inductee class. Ten players were selected to join the hall of fame, along with three coaches. 

Taylor is the first Husker inducted since 2015 when Trev Alberts was selected. Along with being a Outland Trophy recipient, Taylor is also a National Champion playing with the Huskers from 1994-1997

Taylor's selection makes him the eighteenth Husker to be inducted into the College Hall of Fame. 

Joining Taylor in the 2018 class are 1997 Heisman Trophy winner Charles Woodson, Miami safety Ed Reed, Illinois linebacker Dana Howard, Georgia Tech receiver Calvin Johnson, Georgia offensive tackle Matt Stinchcomb, Rice running back Trevor Cobb, Penn State quarterback Kerry Collins, Montana quarterback Dave Dickenson, Temple running back Paul Palmer.

Coaches Mel Tjeerdsma from Northwest Missouri State, Frank Beamer of Virginia Tech and Texas' Mack Brown will also be inducted at the ceremony on December 4th.
