Three Teens Arrested After Omaha Carjacking

Three teenagers ended up in jail New Years Day following a carjacking Monday morning. It happened around 10 a.m. near 47th Avenue and Miami Street.

Omaha Police say a woman told them that three teens threatened her with a gun, forced her out of the vehicle and fled in her silver Chrysler minivan.

Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop but the driver refused to stop and fled to the area of 56th and Grande.   The driver and two passengers then abandoned the vehicle. 

After setting up a perimeter, a 14 year old and two other teens were arrested for robbery.  The 14 year old was also booked for use of a weapon to commit a felony and flight to avoid arrest.  Two additional juveniles were street released for unlawful occupancy.  

The victim was not injured.
