Suspected Triple Murderer Arrested In Tennessee

John W. Dalton Jr. was located this afternoon in Jackson, Tennessee following a coordinated effort between the Nebraska USMS Metro Fugitive Task Force, the Western District USMS of Tennessee and the Tennessee Highway Patrol. The Douglas County Attorney’s Office will coordinate extradition efforts with the County Attorney’s Office in Tennessee.

Police were called to a home near 37th and Spaulding Tuesday evening after the report of a shooting.  70 year old John Dalton Sr., 65 year old Jean Dalton and 18 year old Leonna Dalton-Phillip were found dead inside.

Omaha police issued a felony 1st Degree Murder warrant for the arrest of Dalton Jr. earlier on Wednesday. 

Dalton Jr. has a history of violent crime.  He was arrested and convicted for the 1998 shooting death of his wife, Shannon in Omaha.  Dalton fled the Omaha area after that shooting and was also arrested in Tennessee.
