Nine people were taken to the hospital after an early morning house fire in Lincoln on Wednesday.
The fire was reported around 5:30 at a home near 67th and Gladstone, just minutes after a large fire was reported at a commercial building on South 6th Street. Crews battled the flames for hours as they dealt with subzero temperatures in Lincoln Wednesday morning.
Thirteen people were in the home at the time of the fire, with nine people transported to the hospital. Three of those nine were being treated for critical injuries.
The house suffered extensive damage and is uninhabitable due to the blaze. The cause remains under investigation.
