An Omaha man was injured Saturday afternoon after he was thrown from his car near 108th and Grande Avenue.
Omaha Police say the silver 2000 Buick Regal was traveling northbound on 108th street in a reckless manner when the driver lost control. The Buick then crossed into the southbound lanes, left the roadway and collided with a utility box and the side of a house.
The driver, 25 year old Cody Thompson, was ejected from the vehicle and propelled over a 6-foot privacy fence into the backyard.
The home sustained damage as well as two vehicles parked in the garage. Thompson was transported to Nebraska Medicine to be treated for a non-life threatening back injury.
Police say alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
