A California woman is behind bars in Nebraska after a traffic stop that led to the discovery of warrants and drugs.
Nebraska State Patrol authorities say troopers stopped a Ford Taurus in a parking lot North Platte after the driver made an improper signal while getting off of I-80. During the stop the trooper discovered that 50 year old Jewel Estrada, of North San Juan, California, had an active warrant out of Douglas County.
Estrada was placed under arrest, and during a search of her vehicle, troopers discovered 59 pounds of marijuana. The marijuana has an estimated street value of $295,000.
Estrada is being held in the Lincoln County Jail on the Douglas County warrant, along with charges of Possession of Marijuana – More Than One Pound, Possession With Intent to Deliver and No Drug Tax Stamp.
