Three Injured In Rollover Crash In South Omaha

Omaha Police say speed and alcohol were factors in a rollover crash around 12:30 a.m. Sunday near 16th and Spring Lake Drive that injured three people.

When officers arrived on the scene, they determined the driver of a Ford Expedition lost control, left the road on 16th Street and rolled several times.

Police said a witness told them a male and female ran from from the scene.  Two people were found lying on the ground after being ejected and were taken to the hospital.  20 year old Johnathan Guzman-Crus, 20 from Bellevue and 15 year old Derrik Trautman were treated for non life-threatening injuries.

About 30 minutes after the crash, Omaha Fire and Rescue personnel responded to a house a few blocks away for a call of an injured person.  It was determined that 18 year old Richard Beerz-Cruz was one of the two people who ran from the accident.

Beers-Cruz was taken to the hospital for a possible back injury, which is believed to be non-life threatening.  The fourth occupant, believed to be a female, has still not been located.

The accident is still under investigation.
