Omaha Police Searching For Suspect In Two Robberies

Omaha Police are searching for a man who they believe is responsible for two separate robberies at gas stations early Sunday morning.

The first robbery happened just after 6:00 a.m. at Kwik Shop on 36th and Leavenworth Streets.  Police said an employee told them a man approached the counter and acted as if he had a gun.  The suspect demanded cash and cigarettes. When he received them, he ran off.

The second robbery occurred about ten minutes later minutes later at the QuikTrip at Saddle Creek Road and Leavenworth Street. Police say the suspect also approached the counter and demanded money from the employee.

When he received the cash, he ran to a white SUV that drove away northbound on Saddle Creek.  The suspect is believed to be a black male in his 20s or 30s wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.

Anyone with information on the robberies are asked to contact Crime Stoppers at (402) 444-STOP.
