Offutt Air Show To Return

After a year hiatus, the Defenders of Freedom Open House and Air and Space Show is making its triumphant return.

The popular air show will return to Offutt Air Force Base August 10-12, 2018 and June 1-2, 2019.

Commander of the 55th Wing, Col. Mike Manion, says he is proud to bring the show back to the Heartland. “Opening our gates allows us to connect with Nebraskans and demonstrate the capabilities and professionalism of the finest air and space force in the world. It is just one way to thank Bellevue, Omaha and the surrounding communities for the tremendous support our Airmen receive every day.”

In 2018, the event will be co-headlined by the F-22 Raptor and F-35 Lightning II demonstration teams. The F-22 is designed to rapidly and defeat threats to our nation's military and cannot be matched by any known or projected fighter aircraft. The F-35A is the U.S. Air Force’s latest fifth-generation fighter and provides next-generation stealth.

The 2019 event will be headlined by the world-famous U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the Air Force’s elite demonstration that has been wowing crowds since 1953.
