Omaha Police say a man has died after he was shot late Wednesday afternoon in a neighborhood near 48th and Y Street.
Police identify the man as 32 year old Matthew Johnson. Officers were called just after 4 p.m. and found Johnson with a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition and later died.
Omaha Police blocked off several streets in the area has several blocks in the area during their investigation. Officers were speaking to a possible person of interest, but so far no arrests have been made.
